Volda University College (VUC) is part of a new Erasmus+ project that aims to close the gap between the education sector and the labor market in the field of information and communication technology.

There’s a reason we call our trip an “extended bachelor’s thesis”, say the four students from Volda University College who plan to cross the Greenland Ice Sheet – entirely on their own.

Xènia, Natalie, and Carmen had the time of their life as exchange students in Volda in 2015. This summer, they came back to re-experience the magic of small-town Norway together, and Volda did not disappoint.

A warm welcome awaited the new students in Volda at the opening of the academic year, where engagement, friendship, promising futures, and everything the vibrant student town of Volda has to offer were key themes.

The University of Melbourne is ranked in the world's top 20. Professor Siv M. Gamlem at Volda University College (VUC) has been named Honorary Fellow at one of its research centres. "This is a great honour, and it shows that VUC is being noticed internationally", says the professor in Education enthusiastically.
