Wireless network at VUC

The wireless network for students at VUC is called Eduroam
Your eduroam username is the same as your email address at VUC, ie. username@stud.hivolda.no

This username allows you to connect to eduroam on supported airports (such as Hovden in Volda) and other universities and colleges in Norway.

Connection info for PC/Mac/smartphone/tablet:

SSID: eduroam
Security type: WPA2/WPA
Encryption: AES/TKIP
EAP-type: PEAP
Phase 2 approval : MSCHAPV2
Username: username@stud.hivolda.no (students) username@hivolda.no (staff)

More about eduroam:

Eduroam (Educational Roaming) is a collaboration between educational institutions in Europe, Asia and Australia, and makes it possible for a student or employee, with their usual username, to log in to the wireless network of the institution they visit.

Visitors from other educational institutions participating in Eduroam will be able to log in to the network here in Volda with their user name from the  institution they come from.
