International Week

Volda University College holds its annual International Week in February.

The dates for 2020 is Monday February 10th to Friday February 14th. This event is intended for academic and administrative staff from our partner universities. We expect around 20 international guests visiting VUC for the week. During the week, our guests will meet with the VUC International Office and relevant faculty representatives, as well as, get tours of our campus, and, not least, participate in the International Day in the middle of the week. International guests may also hold guest lectures, do site visits off-campus and follow up their students in Volda while attending the International Week. 

International guests will be in direct contact with the VUC International Office for arranging travel and accommodation for the event.

International Day 2020 - Wednesday February 12th

The International Day is a day where VUC presents our international partner universities on stands in the main building on campus. Guests for the International Week and international students in Volda are expected to represent their home universities in this fair. All events during the International Day takes place in the Berte Kanutte-building at the VUC campus.

Prize for Internationalisation

Every year the student parliament, the Student Welfare Assocation (SiVolda) and the VUC International Office is handing out the Prize for Internationalisation to a student organisation for their engagement in integrating international students. The prize includes prize money of 10 000 NOK. The winner is chosen by a jury consisting of the Student Parliament, SiVolda, the VUC International Office and representatives of the VUC rectorate. Nominees can be submitted by all students and staff of Volda University College. 

Voting for the prize for internationalization will commence in January 2020.
