International Day 2026
Join us for the International Day 2026 Wednesday February 11th! This day will be full of colourful stands, exotic food, international guests, music, dance and interesting conversations. The event is open for everyone.
Students interested in exchange should take advantage of the study abroad fair where international students and guests from VUC's partner universities will be prepare stands with information about various destinations. We will also have a student competition with great prizes.
Programme: Wednesday February 11th (Berte Kanutte Building)
11:30 - Opening of the fair, entertainment and student competition
12:55 - Announcing which student organisation has won the Prize for internationalisation
13:00 - Free international lunch, entertainment by students
14:00 - Pangaia 20 years - celebration with cake and result of the student competition
Pangaia 20 years (2006-2026)
The international hub and meeting place on campus, Pangaia, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Pangaia is a unique concept and the jewel of international activity at Volda University College.
Many universities in Norway and abroad has been inspired and envious of Pangaia, but the concept has proven difficult to replicate. Pangaia has been vital for VUCs excellent reputation among international students and a key factor leading to the award Erasmus+ institution of the year 2025.

For the International Day 2026 we will welcome 13 international guests from VUC's partner institutions abroad. The guests represent the following of VUC partner institutions abroad:
