ITS Volda Accommodation

Up to five international student participants from each institutions will be offered accommodation free of charge during the conference, see below. Institutions are free to contact us if their numbers exeed five, and we will try to make appropriate arrangements.

International staff/faculty will have to cover the cost of accommodation themselves, but the ITS Volda conference team has reserved a number of hotel rooms. Staff participants are encouraged to apply for Erasmus+ grants from their home institutions to possibly cover costs incurred. See more below. 

Accommodation for students

Accommodation for international student participants will be offered free of charge in student apartments located only 5 minutes walk from the VUC campus. The apartments are furnished and each students gets a separate room, but must share bathroom with one other student. 

Earliest check-in is Monday April 20 and latest check-out is Thursday April 23. Accommodation before or after these dates must be arranged and paid for by the participants.

Students opting for alternative housing will have to pay for it themselves.

Students at VUC or other Norwegian universities will not be provided accommodation through the conference.

Accommodation for staff/guests

Accommodation for international staff/faculty/guests must be paid for by the participants themselves. However, the ITS Volda conference team has reserved a number of hotel rooms at Volda Tourist Hotel. The hotel is located only 5 minutes walking from the VUC campus. Staff participants can request one of these pre-ordered hotel rooms in the online registration form. Single and double rooms are available.

The room reservations have been made with check in Monday April 20 and check-out Thursday April 23. 

Staff participants may also check out the avilability of apartments for rent at AirB&B. Note the importance of renting apartments in close walking distance from the VUC campus!
