Dialogue Café
The Gaza war affects us deeply. And in such a conflict, it's easy to feel powerless. When we are scared and feel helpless, it's comforting to come together.
Come to the dialogue cafe and meet other students, get yourself a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. We also have freshly baked waffles and fruit. The cafe is open to all students, and we meet each other in conversations with equality, respect, and openness to different opinions and beliefs, trough dialogue.
On the tables, there are question cards that you can use in conversations with other students around questions like:
- What does the situation in Gaza do to you? How do you feel?
- How to listen and acknowledge others' experiences even if you don't fully understand and may disagree?
- When we are so far from the war, what can we fight for?
- How can we prevent ourselves from unconsciously contributing to increased antisemitism?
- How to avoid generalization and counteract prejudice and hatred towards completely innocent people?
- What values are important to you? What do you hope for in the future?
- How to maintain critical thinking in the face of media influence?
Drop by when it suits you between 2:00 and 4:00 PM at BK 256 Miljørommet.
The event is organized by Pangaia in collaboration with University Chaplain’s at Volda University College by Student Priest Ruth Eva and Student Humanist Lone.
