Reservations and Renewals
If the item you need is out on loan, you can reserve it. Items that are on our shelves cannot be reserved.
How do I reserve an item?
You can go to the lending desk to ask for a reservation.
You can reserve items using the online catalogue Bibsys Ask. Search up the item you want, and click [Order/Reserve]. Fill in your ID number and surname, and click [Submit Order/Reservation].
What is my ID number?
Your ID number is printed at the back of your University College Student or Employee ID card, underneath the barcode, e.g. HVO0000210.
How will I be notified when I can collect the item?
Students will be notified by SMS or by e-mail, employees by e-mail only. The item must be collected within 5 days, or it will be replaced on the shelves or passed on to the next person on the waiting list.
Can I reserve an item to be collected on a particular date?
Unfortunately, that is not possible.
Loans can be renewed as long as the items are not reserved by another patron.
How do I renew a loan?
You can go to the lending desk to ask for a renewal.
You can go to the library catalogue Bibsys Ask.
Students must log on using Feide and enter their student username and password.
Employees can log on using either Feide or a Bibsys patron-ID and password
Once logged on, select [My page] and click [Loan overview/renewal]. Listed here are your loans, reservations and inter-library loan requests.
