Do you want to impress family and friends at home with your knowledge of Henrik Ibsen? Do you want to know why Norwegian contemporary novels have become worldwide bestsellers?

Exchange students in the autumn semester 2013 have an excellent opportunity of getting insight into the Norwegian society and its welfare, as well as other welfare states outside Scandinavia. The course consists of three main parts and will give participants 15 ects upon completion, as well as a full overview on the Norwegian society, economy and politics.

Valentin Gatlan, a journalist student from "Al. I. Cuza" University in Romania enjoys his second semester as an exchange student in Volda. So much so, he decided to initiate a project about happiness. "What makes you happy?" is intended to raise awareness about the small things in life, which make a difference and bring a smile on our faces.

Volda University College was one of the five institutions awarded the quality recognition stamp, DS label, during the Internationalisation conference 2013. The Minister of Education, Kristin Halvorsen, was present at the ceremony and handed out the much appreciated Diploma Supplement Label.

The international week at Volda University College (VUC) has been officially opened on Tuesday, 5th February, with a large group of international guests arriving.

The world famous action hero James Bond is on the agenda at Volda University College this spring term.

A lucky student, participating in the International Day, Wednesday 6th February, will be the lucky winner of a travel check, worth 8000,-nok. The check will cover the expenses to visit one of the 130 partner institutions VUC has agreements with.
